The Story of Wild Poppy
Wild Poppy was born in our kitchen from a cocktail mixer, an herb garden, and a collection of fruit trees. For a time, we hand-packaged boxes, distributed them using the family Volvo, and stocked the packed shelves of our faithful customers ourselves.
As the company grew rapidly, it held onto its authenticity and simplicity yet seemed to be missing one thing. Wild Poppy added a soda line to its brand and, while it swept across the continent and beyond, there were hardly enough pennies to fund the next batch. Could it be possible it was trying to be too much for too many? Were its straightforward ingredients becoming overly versatile? Had a flavorful party refresher become a fancy wedding cocktail from Whole Foods or an over-priced lemonade from target? And what would happen now to a disappearing juice line that could no longer fund itself?
After a wild take-off and flight into the CPG (consumer packaged goods) market, a business deal fell through and a once vibrant and bona fide bottled experience slipped quietly away.
A seed of hope to share this liquid goodness™ with the world once again remains in my heart and is at the core of the inspiration for this rebranding exploration.
